Wired Photo Contest
I’ve been getting a little more serious about my photography hobby lately… realizing that you can tell an amazing story with just a click of the shutter. Whether it be geotagging and uploading photos in real time with an iPhone and Brightkite.com, or more traditionally with a digital SLR camera (well, I guess using film would really be the traditional route), I’ve been realizing that I have a real passion for it.
So I entered the picture below into the Wired.com Summer Photo Contest. I don’t think you get anything for winning, but I really just wanted to see how well it could do.
“Remind us what it is to be young and capable of joy again with a skillfully captured frame… If it doesn’t scream “summer,” we don’t want to see it.” The entry page says.
The photo is titled “Hurry, We’re Almost There!” and it was taken on Maui pretty spontaneously with a $10 Fuji disposable waterproof camera (next time, bring the digital SLR).
If you get a chance, please vote for it sometime in the next week at the Wired.com Photo Entry Page.
